BORDÃO APARTMENTS
Bordão Apartments is a residential condominium of about 17,500 sq ft on the waterfront at Kebra Kanela in Praia, designed so that every apartment gets a taste of the Atlantic. Its structure is an exposed concrete frame, with deep slab edges left raw and visible on the facade, while the walls between them are covered in ceramic tiles. Set into that frame, each unit has a deep balcony, covered in warm timber and railed in slim steel and wood, that works as an outdoor room shaded from the sun. Along the side facades, operable timber shutters and vertical slats screen the stairs and bedrooms, letting the sea breeze through while holding back the glare and keeping neighbors’ views apart. Inside, the apartments stay calm and simple: white walls, tile floors, and elegant kitchens. At the top, a timber-decked roof terrace with glass railings opens straight onto the horizon. The building makes a modest promise and keeps it: concrete for strength, wood for warmth, and a view of the sea.
