WHY WE EXIST?

We have never been more connected, or more alone.

Millions of people share a city and remain strangers. Purpose and community are harder to find than a stranger's profile on the other side of the world. We believe this loneliness is the defining challenge of today's cities — and that design can help solve it.

We have the research, the experience and the drive to take it on. Our most important work is finding the people and organizations already on this quest: supporting them, standing with them, and showing others that the journey can start anywhere.

One candle lights another , until we turn night into day .

  • Acknowledging and embracing our past, we stand firm in our conviction that the world can and will improve.

    We are equipped with the know-how, experience, and drive to overcome what we believe to be the biggest challenge of today’s urban environments - combating the sense of loneliness, and lack of purpose & community one feels living in cities of millions of people, all strangers to one another, despite living in a super globalized world, where it is easier than it has ever been to connect to any and everyone.

    Our most important work will be in finding like minded people and organizations on this same quest - providing them with help & support, or with a fraternity to show them that they are not alone. And, ideally, to also serve as inspiration to get others started in this journey as well.
